Momma bear and nipple stimulation

Updated: Jan 4, 2023

With my second child, my water broke nine days early with the full moon, so baby was not really in any mood to join us yet. But we needed to get baby moving regardless. When the nurses started to “threaten” me with an IV and Pitocin about 12 hours later with not much labor happening, it was time for momma bear to take matters into her own hands. Like my first baby, this was going to be all natural. I remember thinking the whole time they were discussing what to do that they didn’t know who they were messing with. This birth was going to be under my terms, not theirs. It’s pretty amazing the type of movement some good ole nipple stimulation can create. Once things got serious, baby joined us in about an hour. He came so fast, he almost slipped right thru the midwife’s hands. Don’t mess with mama bear. My body was made for this.
