Anticipation

My first baby, woke me up in the middle of the night. Woke dad up, we were excited, and nervous! There were no cell phones back then, so in anticipation of making the phone call announcement dad new he needed change to make a pay phone call.


We had collected change, like many did, in a large glass water jug. Before I knew it, he had emptied the entire container on top of a table saw we had set up in the living room as we were in the middle of renovations.


We laughed so hard. All we needed were a couple dimes.
