The labor of my second daughter came on fast, and on our way into Boston, I almost gave birth to her on the Mass Pike. We made it to hospital and within two hours, after just one push, she was born. My husband and I immediately burst into tears upon hearing her fierce cry and seeing her strong movements. We knew prenatally that my daughter had Down Syndrome and a serious heart condition. The entire room of nursing staff and doctors also began to cry. Everyone was moved to tears of joy that she arrived with such strength and magic. To this day, she brings that same strength and magic anywhere she goes.
