"Nightbitch", written by the fabulous Rachel Yoder, is the Barbi Movie for #AmericanMotherhood and #MomologueCollective is here for it.
The #BarbiMovie craze was deflating to this 39-year old mother of two. It felt dated, like it should have been released in 2005. While I appreciate some were awakened to the tropes of the ongoing, socialized misogyny that is reality, I realized how far mainstream society really has to go for feminism. Please let #Nightbitch be the Barbi Movie I had hoped for.
Read the book and enjoy every bit of it's dark, fantastical (but honest) depiction of motherhood's underbelly- because that is what we are here for.
